Hello.
What you do in life impacts many people. You may never know who you'll impact but it will be felt. You make a decision to go into a field of study that will have tremendous impact. Your decisions impact not only you, but the world around you.
I make an impact by selling health insurance to people who need it. A person's health impact those around them. You make an impact every day and don't even know it. Make an impact every day.

It's Not About You, It's About Them - 3/22/2015
Hello again.
Young people in high school have learned a lot but won't know everything in life. We all have some level of selfishness. It's not always about you, it's about them. You have been served knowledge by your family and by the schools. When you graduate from schools, it's about giving back the knowledge you have learned to the next generation. If you have learned something, give that knowledge back to the ones to come to make that knowledge last and go on and on.
You were given so much and much more will be asked of you in return. Heed these words.
That is all for this post. You are in this world to make a difference. Never forget that.

Be Okay With Not Knowing Everything - 3/16/2015
Hello, everyone.
As I reflect on the knowledge that I have attained after High School, I am okay with the fact that I won't know everything in this life. No amount of money or time is will ever be enough to obtain all knowledge. Learning is good but it's also limited. In school, we had a schedule and limits on what we can learn. We as human beings are not unlimited. We need each other to survive this crazy place that we call Earth.
For example, Corey Rose from KUSA in Denver, CO. didn't know what a halo-halo dessert was. I looked it up and sent her a picture of halo-halo and told her where to get it. That goes to show that TV personalities have their limits of knowledge.
I hope you will learn and apply what you have read with your 28 sec. or less attention span. Have a good day.

Learn A Job Skill Before Leaving High School - 9/27/2014
This post goes out to all those who are currently Seniors in high school.
Graduating High School isn't enough. You have to have some job skills before leaving high school. It could be clerical, retail, mechanical or other skills needed for today's workforce. If you are lucky enough to get a college degree, there may not be any jobs in your chosen field. The cost of living keeps going up and up while wages are either stagnant or going down.
When I was in my 20s, I worked as a Crew Trainer for a McDonald's franchise. Some customers had asked me why the prices of some menu items have changed. My honest answer was this, "When the Minimum Wage goes up, the price of almost everything goes up as well".
Here is a tip for all of you student workers. If you work, you save. Start saving for your future now. Once your money is spent, it's gone for good and never to return.
I hope this post is helpful to you in high school and for all parents of high school students. Thank you.

The 25 Years After Project has begun - 1/1/2014
Hello, everyone. This is the initial post for the 25 Years After Project. My name is Michael Leon Alexander. The purpose of this project is to inspire the younger generation with the knowledge from those who have gone before them 25 years ago. For 2014, I am looking for those who have graduated high school or college in 1989 from all across the United States & Canada. I would like to hear from people who would like to tell their stories of life since graduating school 25 years ago. What have you done with those 25 years? What were your successes? What were your mistakes? What would you like to tell the younger generation?
I look forward to posting your stories here on this blog. Happy New Year 2014.
